While the Super Bowl XLVII only last a few hours, it took Rubin Singer 200 hours to create the leather bodysuit with python and lace Beyoncé Knowles sported during her halftime show.
Based on Singer’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2013 collection, which is influenced by Norse mythology, Helmut Newton imagery and Marlene Dietrich’s play on gender, the outfit – and its wearer – certainly got the attention of both Ravens and 49ers fans. The New York-based designer also designed the outfits for Michelle Williams’s and all of the show’s 120 backup dancers.
After a performance like last night’s, it’s no wonder King B brought down the lights.
