Happy Bastille Day!
As a major holiday in my soon-to-be home country, I couldn’t resist putting together what I would be wearing to celebrate the conclusion of the French Revolution. Celebrated every 14th of July, the exact date commemorates the storming of Bastille, French National Day is our American equivalent of Independence Day.
Every summer, New York is host to a multitude of festivals – from the Upper East Side to Brooklyn – glorifying this holiday while bringing out the inner Francophile in everyone. I’m a little sad I’ll be missing the traditional hoopla that comes around every time this year, but maybe next year I’ll actually be celebrating in France.
Now, where are my French macarons?
Are you doing anything special for Bastille Day? Tell me your plans!

p.s. If you haven’t already heard, I’m moving to France this September! Any suggestions on what to see/eat/explore in Paris are welcome, so send them on over. Merci!
