Who else is relishing this last bit of Indian Summer?
I know the temperatures are suppose to drop next week, so it works out that I’m in Austin, Texas for one of my best friend’s bachelorette parties this weekend. Even though I’ll be experiencing all of this in 90 degree weather, I cannot wait for all of the fun.
Life hack: you can never go wrong with good friends and great tacos 😉
Enjoy your weekend, y’all!
Tips for dressing for your Turkey Day:
Do: Eat in style, but stay comfortable. Sweatpants are never okay at the dinner table. Stick to dark colors and jewel tones to cover up unexpected spills (plus the coloring will add a natural slimming element).
Don’t: Forget to wear what you feel best in. Make sure to leave the tight clothes and high maintenance fabrics at home.
P.s. What are you planning on wearing this year?
Every year I exert my countless hours to find the “perfect” gameday ensemble. The shape, material, color – orange and blue is not the easiest to pull off at times – is in constant consideration. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve raided (and vice versa) my sorority sisters’ closets hunting for an outfit I’ll only wear a few Saturdays a year. For all my years at the University of Florida and afterwards, the Southern tradition of dressing up for football tailgates is admittedly still a work in progress, but I will say that getting rid of the humidity factor now that I live in the city makes my search much easier.
Just a touch of orange and hidden cutout detail. And hitting purchase here now.
Pair this dress with pearls, and you’re ready for Gameday.
Easy, breezy, and – dare I say it – beautiful. Add it to your shopping chart here.
I may or may not have this dress in two colors. It’s just that amazing!
If you’re a Florida fan, I hope these options will work for you, too. I promise a future post for all he non-Gators out there, but for now, the first day of kick off is well underway.
Happy Football Season, y’all!
