Has anyone else noticed everyone worrying about how summer is “almost” over now that it’s August? No? Just me?
To be clear, we still have 45 days left – plenty of time to make more memories this season 😉 And enjoy some A/C (and sunshine).
On that note, I realized the other day that I had never created a bucket list (gasp), but then realized that almost everything had been crossed off. I decided to make one anyway to hold myself accountable (I added two more books to my normal list for the season) and to remember all the fun I’ve had so far.
In fact, I leave for Europe Saturday, so any additional book recommendations would be great – I’m in the middle of an autobiography on Jack Welch, the end of a biography on Zelda Fitzgerald that I fished out of a pile of used books in a small shop in Maine during #MDW and am starting The Dud Avocado by Elaine Dundy. You might say I enjoy reading…
If #16 was on there, it would be to feel extremely grateful.
How is your summer bucket list looking? And what’s left on it?
I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend!
I’m taking this time to get organized for August: I’m headed to Chicago for Lollapalozza with some friends Thursday, then Denmark, Germany, Russia, Estonia and Sweden for a last-minute family trip for two weeks. Now that I’ve finally packed for both, I can move on from nerves to excitement. I have a feeling the next few weeks will fly by!
Here’s to the week(s) ahead 😉
After almost two months of traveling every weekend (Maine, D.C., Maryland, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey (LBI), Connecticut, etc.) this summer, I’m finally taking a weekend to relax and recuperate at home.
Apologies for my delay in blogging aside, I’m excited to get back to a writing routine, despite a couple more trips ahead (Annapolis/D.C. to visit family and Megan who just moved there – yay! – Chicago for Lollapalozza and then Europe and Russia for a last-minute family vacation).
You can see this weekend was absolutely necessary. Only movie marathons and stops to our favorite Hoboken brunch spot allowed.
