I’m so thankful to relay that things are starting to come more and more together with the new apartment! I honestly could not have done it without Matt, my family, his parents and the support of all of my good friends. Nothing makes you feel more special than having the kinds of people in your life who are wiling to move your stuff up and down five flights of stairs!
This weekend, I’ve really been trying to take a breather and organize everything. Luckily, my mom and step father drove up from Maryland to help finalize the move and explore my new neighborhood. Let’s just say, they were impressed. Like me, they were drawn to Hoboken’s charm, quaint shops/restaurants, community feel and way less traffic/noise.
I’m excited to show them more of Hoboken today and even meet up with Matt’s parents for brunch later on. I’m just so happy everything’s coming together and that this new apartment is truly feeling like a home
As I’m writing this, I’m happy just thinking about this past week – and the weekend ahead!
Spring has officially “sprung” in New York City, and while I was able to commemorate this phenomenon with some of my favorite friends (with rosé and Liane’s rooftop no less), I’m just as thrilled knowing that other things in my life are lining up:
For instance, I finally switched out my winter clothes for my spring/summer wardrobe, marked off more of my spring bucket list, filed my taxes, my new job is going great (I legitimately love my coworkers) and I can’t wait to celebrate Easter weekend with Matt‘s family in the country.
I know my closet will eventually become a mess, there will always be bills/frustrating tasks and the heat will drive me crazy (I’m trying not to think of hot subway rides and hair frizzing humidity), but for now, I’m just going to enjoy it all.
Here’s to a wonderful weekend, y’all!
7. I still can’t get over this video from the New York Times. They invited six 2nd graders to dinner at Daniel, where the seven-course tasting menu goes for $220 a person. I can’t even explain how hilarious their reactions are or how much we couldn’t stop laughing in the fashion closet while watching it.
