Since the end of showing designers at the Bryant Park tents, running to and from fashion shows has become a normal part of Fashion Week. Even though I always keep a snack in my purse, I always find myself searching for a place to grab a quick bite with a friend, charge my phone/laptop or even do a quick post. Here are my top go-to’s during this exciting (but crazy) week:
I might be biased because I love their vegan menu (even though I’m far from vegan), but I like how it’s healthy, fast-food that you can order ahead or just pop in one of their restaurants. They’re in not one, but four locations in the city – three in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn – plus two more restaurants on the way! I highly recommend any of their smoothies, the kale caesar salad and the guac burger.
Hands down, one of my favorite spots, not only because of the free WiFi, work space and bathroom, but because their turmeric latte keeps me charged and energized while scrambling around New York City. Not to mention their interior is the definition of Instagram bait.
Insider tip: Their WiFi password is chachacha
Part coffee shop, bakery and restaurant, this café offers everything. You can literally run in to grab tea and catch up on emails, or even have a full sit-down meal in their cozy, south of France-inspired café. Try their one of their fresh salads or scrumptious pastries.
P.s. They have five locations in the city!
Confession: I went to Egg Shop twice last week. It’s just that good. Specializing in egg sandwiches and bowls, you can tell that the food is freshly prepared and the staff is super accommodating (i.e. me with multiple bags, a laptop and purse on both occasions). The shop is small, so their could be a line if you’re with a group, but it’s truly worth it. Honestly, if my wallet could handle it, I would order the $10 make-your-own egg sandwich every day.
It may be cliché to include, but they have they have the reputation to back it up. A favorite since it’s original opening in Nolita, they have everything from vegetarian fare, healthy juices and even a next-door grocery in case you need something to grab and go. I will say they have some of the best avocado toast in Manhattan (plus a West Village location).
Another staple that doubles as a great stop for a long coffee date or quick meal, all of their locations offer room to spread out, relax and even pull out your laptop or newspaper. My go-to menu item? Their sinfully delicious hot chocolate.
Any of your favorites make the list?
