After almost two months of traveling every weekend (Maine, D.C., Maryland, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey (LBI), Connecticut, etc.) this summer, I’m finally taking a weekend to relax and recuperate at home.
Apologies for my delay in blogging aside, I’m excited to get back to a writing routine, despite a couple more trips ahead (Annapolis/D.C. to visit family and Megan who just moved there – yay! – Chicago for Lollapalozza and then Europe and Russia for a last-minute family vacation).
You can see this weekend was absolutely necessary. Only movie marathons and stops to our favorite Hoboken brunch spot allowed.
“W stands for way better than I imagined.”
I honestly feel so grateful to have a position at such an incredible publication working in the fashion closet, with not only talented, but geuninely considerate individuals.
While I admittedly played it rather safe with my ensemble my first day there, I look forward to stepping up my style – especially now that the city is getting temperatures in the 60s (!). I love the seamless look of the denim on denim with a feminine coat and dainty jewelry to match. The clutch is also roomy enough for necessities during the day then great for heading to event in the evening. While I may trade the heels for sneakers throughout the day, it’s a great way to dress up or down without losing your chic. And, as always, carrying a notebook is essential.

So hopefully by now you have already seen Vogue’s 73 question video featuring their legendary editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. Not only is the quick-paced roll of questions entertaining, but the answers can be extremely surprising. While watching the interview this past Friday, I thought it might be fun to do my own version. Since it was completely unrehearsed, I do cringe a little watching my version (sadly, I could not answer all of Ms. Wintour’s questions as they would not apply, plus I’m dying to tweak some of my answers) but it was fun being put on the spot and great practice for future videos.
And to my friends who I ended up being 10 minutes late to dinner due to the making of this video, this is dedicated to you.
