I’d be lying if I said this past week hasn’t been a whirlwind. I’d normally shy away from clichés, but in this instance it’s true.
I’d also be lying if I said receiving WiFi from a cruise ship in the middle of the Mediterranean was easy too.
Between last weekend’s Graduation ceremonies/moving/packing for a two week tour through Europe, I’ve rarely had the time (or money – holy expensive) to update my blog. Oddly enough, it’s been liberating [even relaxing] to take a break from my laptop and iPhone in return for a few stored summer reads.
The balcony attached to our room is my absolute favorite, though. The water is the most amazing blue and the sounds of the ocean waves are a newfound genre competing with my iTunes.
To sum up the trip so far (and save a little extra green), we’ve visited Rome, Naples (Pompei!), the Amalfi Coast, different part of Malta and now we’re in Athens. Oh, and I just received my luggage today. Yes, it was lost for a grand total of five days so I’ve been Man-Repelling it up. By which, I mean I’ve been dressing in my brother’s clothes and pitiful XL white T-shirt from the airlines that I’ve been cutting and rearranging to invoke some kind of feminine air. Needless to say, my suitcase’s return put a smile on my face.
Who knew I’d miss shampoo the most these past couple of days? More on that later. Time to explore. Ciao, or in Greek, yassou.
NYC Girl in Pearls
Below you’ll find a belated Graduation photo. I’m sure I could post about the whole affair, but words, for once fail me. It was a wonderful experience. What can I say? It’s great to be a Florida Gator.
