Well hello there, stranger 😉
First off, I apologize for the delay in my posts. While my hiatus from blogging has allowed me to focus on a few [million] other things going on in my life – job hunting, moving (not once, but twice, in a month!), working on a few exciting projects (!) and traveling, I’ve missed writing and sharing my life with all of you.
I think one of the most difficult aspects of keeping a lifestyle blog is being okay with not being “perfect.” There are many times when I question myself or write posts but then never posting in fear they do not meet my overzealous standards. I’ll admit that these past few months have been a whirlwind of anxiety, privately and professionally, and I feel like I was almost too focused on fixing those areas in my life, instead of continuing to do what made me happy on the side. However, at the end of the day, nothing will always be perfect and while I try to do my best, I’m learning to stop stressing out over every little detail and continue move forward – which includes getting back to blogging.
Forgive me, readers? I’ve miss y’all, too.
Here are a few updates (and highlights) during the time I was away:
I live in a lovely apartment in Hell’s Kitchen with one of my best friends, Stephanie. She’s pretty fabulous; we actually met at a fashion conference with our equally extraordinary friends Caroline and Monica.
Did you see the new redesign? I couldn’t be more thrilled.
I’ve traveled all over lately: Newport, Charleston, Pittsburgh, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Providence, Annapolis, Back home to Florida, The Hamptons, Washington, D.C. (for the new Landmark Music Festival), Burlington, VT…
Next up: A Christmas/NYE trip to Spain, Portugal, Morocco and France.
I was fortunate enough to freelance with some major dream companies – it’s exciting to see where I’ll end up next.
I’m completely obsessed with my neighborhood boxing gym.
I celebrated a birthday and am officially out of the early twenties phase. It’s crazy how much I have learned over the past five years – even just the past six months!
This Burberry trench coat (but in navy) has changed my life. Best purchase in ages.
I had the opportunity to tour the New York Twitter Headquarters for a #NYFW workshop – seriously, their offices are incredible. They even have a game room.
I’ve unintentionally gone vegetarian. New favorite [vegan] restaurant? By Chloe, hands down. Their sweet potato fries, avocado toast and guac burger have me coming back every other week.
And… I’m competing in the 2016 Miss New York USA Pageant in January (!)
Okay, enough with me already.
I’m sure I’ll tackle some stories later down the road. I’m just happy to be back.
Happy weekend, y’all!
P.S. Comment or Tweet me what I’ve missed in your life lately!
